What can I keep in my Greenleaf bag?
We use our Greenleaf bag for all our green leaves: all kinds of lettuce, kale, collards, spinach, silver beet, chard and any other green leaves we enjoy.
We also find it is great for keeping herbs: parsley, rocket, coriander, chives, shallots, mint & so on.
And, we use our Greenleaf bag for vegetables that would otherwise wilt in the fridge: carrots, celery, broccoli and cauliflower, just to name a few. We also keep cucumbers and tomatoes (vegetables that are really fruits!) in a Greenleaf bag (we have found for these fruits we don't need to keep the bag as damp as we do for the leafy greens and vegetables).
How much longer will my produce last if I use a Greenleaf bag?
The length of time your produce lasts in a Greenleaf bag depends on your fridge and the quality of the produce. We have found that by using the Greenleaf bag our produce stays fresh & crisp for up to two weeks; however, we do prefer to buy fresh produce each week.
